15 carat gold selling stickpin with small ruby, Victorian pin with custom box, 1800's antique, leaf design, silk/velvet lined box, delicate style

Small boxes usually hold wonderful things.
No exception here. This little Victorian specialty box holds a 15 carat gold stick pin with a little flower centered with a small ruby. Circa 1860's/70's.
It is from the estate of a wealthy 1800's shipyard owner and merchant and three generations of his family.

This little pin is in excellent condition, The box has a well handled look. It is lined on the bottom with a navy velvet and indentation to hold the pin. The top is a medium blue silk in very good condition.
The pin measures 2 by .5 inches and the box is 3.25 by 1 by .75 inches.

I recently purchased the small items from the Estate of a family who owned and operated a variety of enterprises in a town famous for its tall ship building. The ships would sail the world and bring back treasures from the continent and eastern seaboard. The Victorian home was filled with these magnificent finds, added to over the decades by other generations.
I am up to my ears in magnificence.
Victorian, Edwardian, the 20's, 30's 40's and 50's....all under one large roof.
Because the items were bought from the owners, the items have not been picked over in antique shops or (shudder) thrift stores. This is a rare opportunity to own something, well, rare.
And no, I don't actually want to sell any of it.
