If you've ever wondered what the difference between "silver" and "sterling silver" is, now is your chance to learn. Pure silver is too soft to use for jewelry, so instead, sterling silver is used. Sterling silver is an alloy composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals which contribute to the hardness it needs without taking away its color. When space allows, you will find "925" stamped onto my jewelry indicating that genuine sterling silver was used.
