Fabulous Antique selling Polychrome Rooster Carving Mexico

This incredible sculpture is from Mexico and I believe it dates to the mid 20th century, though it may be older. The polychrome paint has a few losses, but, overall, the figure is in selling amazing condition and it's quite large.
I don't know if it was once part of something larger, but it doesn't appear to have been cut or broken away from anything.
He measures a whopping 18 inches tall, 12 inches deep and 4.5 inches wide.
