WOW! Antique 7" Vase Oriental Meiji Bronze High Relief. Amazing Detail!!!
Awesome patina comes with time and this piece is a rich dark bronze color with lighter areas that appear to have been touched more. The selling scene as you turn this beautifully detailed piece around is of a woman in traditional garb holding a basket and a large woven basket on her back. She is walking through tall plants with large leaves that make up the neck and top of the vase. There is a young child holding on to the stalk of one of the tall plants. On the opposite side, you will see a little village in the distance, bushes and more tall plants and birds are hiding amongst all of it. So much to look at. The side appears to have a dent and the bottom is put together crudely but is solid. No signature that I could find but it is very well done. I have not cleaned it at all, I don't want to ruin it.
